What is an Eyebrow Lift?
In most cases, an eyebrow lift is chosen to combat the signs of aging, however, it can also be used on patients affected by injury or birth defects.
How Does an Eyebrow Lift Surgery Work?
An eyebrow lift can be performed using one of the three common techniques: an eyebrow lift, an endo-coronal brow lift, or a trichophytic lift.
Endobrow Lift
This procedure is the least invasive choice in where several small incisions are made along the scalp. An endoscope is then inserted through the incisions, which allows the surgeon to see the treatment on a screen. The surgeon then uses another instrument to lift the forehead skin and reposition the brows.
Endo-coronal brow Lift
This is the most classic brow lift technique whereby a single incision made from ear to ear. The skin is pulled away from the muscle and connective tissue and pulled upwards, the hairline is lifted to remove wrinkles and lift the eyebrows.
A Trichophytic Lift
This type of brow lift, commonly used for patients with higher hairlines, uses an incision made just behind the hairline. A portion of forehead skin is removed (rather than raising the hairline) to elevate the eyebrows.
